1001 twingo's
I promised I'd update more frequently! :) (you annoyed yet?) (heh heh)
So finally some more pictures online:

So all is still very well in this wonderful country! I was looking forward to Colombia and so far it's more than living up to the expectations! I never really got the concept of a place being nice because the people were so lovely, but Colombia totally cleared that up! Nowhere else in South America people are (or seem, you never know...) so genuinely happy to see you or to serve you, sell you a busticket, help you find your way, tell you where the nicest places are without even asking for it or call you a taxi. All over the continent the reply to 'gracias' (thank you) is 'de nada' (you're ok/that's fine), but in Colombia it's 'con mucho gusto' (with much pleasure), which just is a perfect representation of the difference. Very often, random people in the street will shout welcoming words in either Spanish or English. In most countries annoying little boys in their naugthy age will call profanities ('cause that's what you do when you're 11 or 12), but here they hollar: ' 'ellow! 'ow are you!' Just today, we were followed by two very curious young girls who found us amazingly fascinating, but didn't really dare to aproache. So they lingered behind us and trying to get our attention with their limited english they suddenly said: 'Teacher, may I go to the bathroom, please?' :D Now isn't that the cutest thing?!
The country is fascinating. After the last update we've been to the desert, then to a valley with wax palms which Sjoerd nicely described as a scene from Jurassic Park and now we're in Medellin which is a beautyful and elegant city (reminds me a bit of Buenos Aires in a way) and has the most perfect climate and is therefor described as the city of eternal spring. Funny fact which for me proves it múst be a good place: about every 3rd car on the street is a twingo! (anyone ever played the twingo-slapping game? Can you imagine the bruises we both have after 2 days here!? ;) )
In a few days we will be heading north to Colombia's Carribean coast to find some white sandy beaches hugging jungle on one end and turqoise ocean on the other to snorkel and relax from all this hardcore travelling we're doing! :)Darn, only a few weeks left!!
Wil nog even zeggen: papa, mama en Boas: onwijs bedankt voor de superleuke filmpjes en foto's! Heb heel hard gelachen om Ninte en Fedja! Blij dat ik binnenkort zelf kan zien hoe enorm ze zijn.
So Sjoerd came up with this great idea for anyone who'd rather read my blog in Dutch: here's the link to this text through Google translater: translate.google.nl
However, I've used it now and then and my experience is that the translation is CRAP! So if it is: its not me! It's technology!

yeah! twingos! must be a good city.
(you know, every time I see a twingo around here I go shouting "look, it's a twingo!!" and people keep giving me those strange looks... mh... but I know you understand me.)
I do! And I knew you'd respond to this one! Somehow they remind me of you as well! Should do another twingo roadtrip. :)
Btw: found good prices, chances are high, my dear... Yay! just send out an email to ask for 'permission'.
